City Installation Made Out Of 100,000 Staples By Peter Root

Artist Peter Root has come up with an art installation that is created out of materials so simple and a concept that can easily be re-created with a different end result every time. “Ephemicropolis” is his latest piece; a city made out of over 100,000 staples.

It took in the range of 40 hours of work, but the tiny scaled installation is an awe-inspiring piece of art. There are thousands of various sized stacks of staples all meticulously put together to form the different shaped and sized “buildings.” The macro views of the layout shows just how detailed Root was in his execution– from 3 staples to an entire stack high, there’s a uniqueness in every piece.
