Based on Fiona Rosenbloom’s coming of age novel, the film follows thirteen year old Stacy Friedman (played by Sunny Sandler) as she navigates middle school life and struggles to plan her bat mitzvah. Meanwhile, her best friend Lydia Katz (played by Mary Katherine Duhon) finds herself in a love triangle with Stacy’s crush Andy Goldfarb (Malachi Barton).
Adam Sandler doesn’t just make a cameo – he and his eldest daughter Sadie co-star in the movie, while his “Uncut Gems” co-star Idina Menzel plays his wife.
