On Thursday, country music star Kelsea Ballerini brought her signature style to New York City for a screening of her short film, “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat”. Ballerini wowed onlookers at the event in a long-sleeved purple minidress from Versace which featured a cutout bodice. She finished the look with sheer tights and black stiletto heels, and wore her hair up in a tight bun.
The screening was for both a new short film Ballerini wrote and directed, and an accompanying EP. Both projects were inspired by her divorce from singer-songwriter Morgan Evans and draw upon several themes of growth and renewal. With a cocktail dress style that was sure to make an impression, Ballerini showed just what it looks like when someone is ready to move on.
Kelsea Ballerini wowed audiences in New York on Tuesday with a performance of her latest single, “How Do I Do This,” and with an ensemble of stylish fashion choices. The night capped off Ballerini’s three-city tour to promote the film she stars in, and saw her take the stage in a sleeveless green turtleneck and tailored trousers from Cinq à Sept. She paired the look with shimmering green crystallized pumps. When she kicked off the tour in Los Angeles a week prior, Ballerini had opted for a minimalist Saint Laurent playsuit in black featuring scalloped border trim and crystal embellishments, paired with a pair of rosette-adorned sparkly heels.
The tour was just one of Ballerini’s appearances this year that showcased her signature fashion sense. In March 2021, she was named a Covergirl brand ambassador and was also heavily featured at the CMT Awards, where she co-hosted alongside fellow country musician Kane Brown. She made numerous outfit changes throughout the program and continues to be seen as a style icon dedicated to pushing boundaries.
