NFL X’s provocative question has generated a lot of passionate debate – former Minnesota Vikings quarterback, Kyle Sloter, seems to have a pretty strong opinion on the matter. His fan page account recently claimed that the greatest rivalry in NFL history was between himself and his former head coach Mike Zimmer. Sloter didn’t leave any room for doubt as to how he felt about his ex-mentor, tweeting out a statement that spoke volumes about their tumultuous relationship. It’s no surprise that this new take has stirred quite a bit of conversation among NFL fans.
After bursting onto the scene during his 2017 preseason with the Denver Broncos, Kyle Sloter quickly became a fan favorite of the Minnesota Vikings. Even then, many believed that he deserved an opportunity to show what he was capable of. Sloter ended up receiving that chance in 2019, and he made the most of it, tearing it up in two preseasons with the team. He completed a staggering 66%+ of his passes in each preseason, throwing 8 touchdowns and just 1 interception.
But alas, when all was said and done, Kyle Sloter was waived after preseason 2019, and though he spent some time with the team in 2021, things sadly didn’t pan out as expected. Maybe it was meant to be, but Sloter will always remain a Viking fan-favorite for his dynamic preseason performances.
