For years, Disney fans have been speculating about a live-action adaptation of Tangled. Since the 2010 animated feature, speculation has continued to swirl around one of the most beloved Disney Princesses, Rapunzel. It appears that Disney is now in the process of creating a live-action remake of the classic fairy tale; however, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
The awaiting fans have already started to create their own cast lineup for the film, suggesting names like Jada Pinkett Smith for the lead role. The stories surrounding this princess and the dashing Flynn Rider have captured the imagination of many generations, and it’s likely that regardless of who is chosen to play the beloved characters there will be little disappointment from Disney’s loyal audiences.
It won’t be long before we find out if the rumors are true and if another live-action remake is on its way. Until then, we can only imagine what it would look like and dream of seeing a beloved classic brought into a new light.

According to a report by website Mouse Trap, she is, however, Snopes reported a different story – that Pinkett Smith isn’t involved with the Disney project.
With no official updates about potential casting so far, fans have already thrown out their ideas. Delighted by the thought of Harry Styles playing Flynn Rider, others have proposed Tom Holland for the leading man role. However, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor hasn’t given any indication whether he’s interested in the part.
Time will tell which star enchanted directors with their “Once Upon A Time” voice – until then, let’s just hope this fairytale ends with a happily ever after!

In addition to ‘The Little Mermaid’, Disney has adapted ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘The Lion King’ for a live-action version too. Both of these received largely negative reviews from viewers who were upset at how the original cartoons were disrespected. Despite this, Disney continues to pursue their dream of reviving their classic films and creating new remakes, with Dove Cameron being eyed to play the role of princess Rapunzel in an upcoming take. It remains to be seen what other beloved cartoons are given a live-action makeover next.
