Seventeen-year-old Kingston Rossdale, son of renowned singer Gwen Stefani, utilized his musical talent to impress the crowd at step-dad Blake Shelton’s bar and music spot, Ole Red. Taking the stage on Friday (August 11), Rossdale joked with the audience before performing a rock-style set with a guitarist and keyboardist.
His show came as a welcomed surprise to patrons of the bar in Oklahoma’s Tishomingo city and, after completing his set, he thanked both the audience and Shelton, who joined him on stage for an embrace.
In 2015, singer Gwen Stefani and her then-husband, singer-songwriter Gavin Rossdale, finalized their 13-year marriage. Years later, Stefani and long-time partner Blake Shelton married in 2021, making Shelton the stepfather of Zuma and Apollo, Stefani and Rossdale’s two children.
In a recent interview on KFROG’s The Ride with Kimo & Heather, Shelton spoke about this “stepfather” role – not without some humor. “I love my stepfather, and he’s like a father to me,” said Shelton. “I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be.”
This blissful, albeit nontraditional family setup has been nothing short of entertaining for him. “I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time,” said Shelton. “I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing. I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”
